Employees with Disabilities
The affirmative action provisions of the Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503) prohibits job discrimination and requires federal contractors and subcontractors to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified individual with disabilities.
Effective March 24, 2014, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has published Final Rule that made changes to the regulations implementing Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended at 41 CFR Part 60-741.
