Equal Protection Office (EPO)

EPO helps ensure that students, staff and faculty are not deprived of, or limited in, their access to educational programs or resources based upon their race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, disability, medical condition, genetic information, ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or veteran status in a non-employment setting.

EPO administers UCSC’s student grievance process for matters relating to discrimination in the academic context based upon protected categories. For more information, please review UCSC’s student grievance process
